L’arte contemporanea è protagonista al St. Moritz Art Masters.

 a prestigiosa manifestazione si è posta come obiettivo, da un lato, il coinvolgimento di tutte le migliori gallerie  e musei presenti nella prospera regione dell’Engadina, dall’altro la presentazione di una selezione delle migliori espressioni artistiche contemporanee internazionali. 
Lo scopo è quello di dare ai propri ospiti ed al pubblico di St. Moritz una visione a 360° di ciò che viene proposto oggi dal mondo artistico internazionale. Dipinti, sculture, fotografie ed installazioni audio-video verranno presentate sia in spazi istituzionali secondo modalità espositive tradizionali, sia in location inaspettate! Ricchissimo il parterre degli artisti presenti fra cui: Pablo Picasso, David Douglas Duncan, David LaChapelle, Horst Wackerbarth, Carl Andre, Leiko Ikemura, Helmut Newton, Yves Klein, Doug Aitken, Joseph Beuys, Robert Indiana, George Condo, Aurèle e molti, molti altri ancora.
Le gallerie ed i musei di San Moritz e Zuoz  hanno dimostrato grande interesse verso il progetto prendendovi parte con entusiasmo, fra i partecipanti ricordiamo:  Monica De Cardenas Gallery, Galleria Gmurzynska, Jean-David Cahn, Galleria Karsten Greve Galleria, Salis & Vertes Gallery, Galleria Tschudi, Bechtler Collection al Castell Hotel, Berry Museum, Museo Segantini ed il Museo Engadina. 
La lobby ed alcune sale di rappresentanza dei cinque luxury hotels di St. Moritz diventeranno punti di raccolta della scena artistica internazionale, in particolare il Kempinski Hotel sarà la sede di un’eccezionale mostra fotografica. Tutti gli spazi degli hotels, dalla hall ai corridoi, dalle sale di servizio al bar, saranno totalmente trasformati offrendo al pubblico una modalità nuova di fruire l’arte contemporanea. 
Nella zona pedonale di St Moritz, verranno installate sculture di straordinari artisti internazionali che andranno  a sorprendere il pubblico  ampliando le possibilità di fruizione e proponendo una nuova esperienza d’incontro con l’arte contemporanea. 
La Chiesa protestante francese, per la prima volta, si trasformerà in un tempio d’arte sacra grazie alla mostra intitolata “Jesus is my Homeboy” di David LaChapelle. Il 
Il Cinema Scala proporrà, invece, una rassegna di videoarte offrendo una panoramica alquanto completa sulle ricerche condotte a livello internazionale e provenienti dalla Cologne Art Film Biennale 2008 e dall’Imai, l'Inter Media Art Institute. 
Le sale della Scuola di Sci di St Moritz saranno trasformate in un’insolita ed originale area espositiva atta a stupire i visitatori con una selezione di Maestri contemporanei tra cui: Franz West, Otto Mühl, Dieter Roth e Joseph Beuys. 
Infine, sarà proposta al pubblico una selezione delle collezioni private di Julius Baer e Daimler 
La manifestazione prevede visite guidate alle numerose esposizioni d’arte in modo da fornire ai visitatori le maggiori informazioni possibili sugli artisti, le collezioni private e per svelare i contenuti più nascosti e concettuali delle singole opere.

ST. MORITZ ART MASTERS



The idea behind the concept is to integrate art as an essential part of the St.Moritz Art Masters. To involve not only the prosperous Engadin region with all its unique galleries and museums, but also to bring the best of international art to St.Moritz. The aim is to give our guests a brief insight and a taste what contemporary art is about. Paintings, sculptures, photos, video and audio installations will be shown in usual but also in unexpected places! Artists like Pablo Picasso, David Duncan Douglas, David La Chapelle, Horst Wackerbarth, Carl Andre, Leiko Ikemura, Karl Lagerfeld, Yves Klein, Doug Aitken, Joseph Beuys, Robert Indiana, Yves Klein, George Condo, Aurèle and many many more will be presented to the art loving spectators.  

 

The galleries of St.Moritz and Zouz, who showed great interest in the project, will all participate: Monica De Cardenas Gallery, Gmurzynska Gallery, Jean-David Cahn, Karsten Greve Gallery, Salis & Vertes Gallery, Tschudi Gallery, Hotel Castell, Berry Museum, Segantini Museum and the Engadin Museum.

 

The lobbies of the 5-star hotels of St.Moritz will become gathering points of the international art scene! Especially the Kempinski Hotel will become the headquarter for photography. The in- and outside of the hotel, hidden corridors, conference halls, and bars will be transformed into a whole new concept of art perception.  

 

In the pedestrian zone of St.Moritz very special sculptures will lurk around the corner and will not only amuse the visitors but also encourage to open the mind for a whole new experience of art itself. The Protestant French Church will for the first time turn into a sacred art place where the relevant exhibition „Jesus is my homeboy“ of David La Chapelle will be shown. The Cinescala will give a insight view what art film is about with a selection of the Cologne Art Film Biennale 2008 and a Selection form Imai, the Inter Media Art Institute. The rooms of Ski School St.Moritz are a perfect original new place to astonish with a selection of contemporary Masters like Franz West, Otto Mühl, Dieter Roth and Josef Beuys. Also parts of the Julius Baer art collection and Daimler Chrysler art collection will be open for public. 

 

Guided art tours with secret content and off the records information about the artists, art work and the collections will also a part of the very special experience which will enrich the Art Walk.
