The Workshop will be held at the Montecallini a four star Hotel situated in Baia di San Gregorio, in Salento, the heel of Italy.
Patrick Hazard (director of the London International Documentary Festival) leads this course for anyone interested in how documentaries can inspire and effect social change. Incorporating talks and screenings from professional filmmakers as well as practical guidance on the process of documentary, participants will be given the tools needed to research and make their own film as well as a deeper understanding of the ethics, theory and outcomes of documentary filmmaking.
How does film theory, image thought and critical thinking inform, inspire and improve documentary filmmaking? The course is designed to focus on film language and theory so that aesthetics and critical theory can inform and benefit the development of documentary film making. As such it will work backwards and forwards between theory and the actual development of a film project with groups. By the conclusion of the course the film project will have been developed to production stage.
Course Cost: € 1250,00 per person and includes
the course and half board accommodation
in a 4 star Hotel and transfer to/from Brindisi airport.
The price does not include the airfare.
